Writing
Notes on the practice
Somewhere to put it
Ideas arrive mid-sentence, and so do errands. On parking a thought without losing your page — IDEA:, TODO:, and getting your head back.
A question to write from
The blank page has exactly one hard sentence in it — the first. On sparks, and what a good question does that advice cannot.
The yellow marker
Some sentences are worth more than the day they were written on. On lessons learned — marking them, keeping them, and turning them into something you can live by.
Why seven hundred and fifty words
Not a nice round number, and not an accident either. On the length that is long enough to get past yourself.
Private by design
Why a journal with no audience, no sharing and no analytics is a feature list, not an omission.
